June 11 (UPI) -- Hulu released the trailer for its upcoming series Nine Perfect Strangers Friday. Nicole Kidman, Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Melvin Gregg, Asher Keddie, Grace Van Patten, Tiffany Boone and Manny Jacinto star.

Kidman plays a health and wellness guru. Her private clinic, Tranquillum House, treats nine patients at a time.

The trailer shows some of Masha's (Kidman) treatments, including patients lying in open graves and beating dummies. The patients also get into physical altercations around the dinner table.

David E. Kelley co-wrote the eight episode adaptation of Liane Moriarty's book. John Henry Butterworth and Samantha Strauss also wrote while Butterworth and Kelley show run.

Kidman's Blossom Films production company and Bruna Papandrea's Made Up Stories produce with Kelley and Endeavor Content. Kelly, Kidman and Papandrea also collaborated on HBO's Big Little Lies.

Nine Perfect Strangers premieres Aug. 18 on Hulu. Hulu announced the premiere date in May after releasing the first teaser on April 26.
