"There is no denying Shaq's multifaceted appeal," TruTV president Chris Linn said in a statement. "Thus, we couldn't be happier to be collaborating with him, as well as Mike Tollin and Mandalay Sports Media, as we continue to push into new formats."

The comedy will follow O'Neal and his employees as they manage his products and endorsements and promote his new and eccentric business ideas. Deadline reports the show will be in the tone of HBO series Veep, and see the star's workers compete for recognition and approval.

O'Neal played for such teams as the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA, and also pursued a career in entertainment. He appeared in numerous films, including Kazaam, and currently hosts viral video series Upload with Shaquille O'Neal on TruTV.
