Prince drops surprise album 'HITnRUN: Phase Two'

CHANHASSEN, Minn., Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Pop music icon Prince unexpectedly released his latest album this weekend.

"PLEASE EVERYONE PURCHASE THE PRODUCT AFTER LISTENING," the 57-year-old artist tweeted Saturday with a link to where fans can sample and buy the set HITnRUN: Phase Two on the Tidal streaming service.

The first part of the album dropped in September.

The Grammy winner has sold a total of more than 100 million records worldwide and is known for his hits "Baltimore," "Sign o' the Times," "1999," "When Doves Cry," "Let's Go Crazy," "Purple Rain," "Raspberry Beret" and "Little Red Corvette."
