LOS ANGELES, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Iggy Azalea has reached out to Erykah Badu after the singer issued an apology to Azalea for dissing her while hosting the 2015 Soul Train Awards.

The mini-feud started when during the awards show, Badu pretended to take a phone call from the "Fancy" rapper joking, "Oh no, you can't come, because what you're doing definitely ain't rap!"

Azalea later responded on Twitter stating "We are days from 2016, but i came online today and saw its still cool to try and discredit my 2014 accomplishments. LOL, [expletive] hell. Seems exhausting."

Then on Monday during a Twitter music Q & A with fans, Badu was asked about everything from her creative process, how she became a doula and her remarks about Azalea. She took the chance to apologize to the rapper, mentioning how her kids enjoy Azalea's music.

"You know what, I wanna do this for my daughters, I wanna apologize to Iggy Azalea because she's one of their favorite artists, and they listen to her all the time," Badu said in a short video before joking, "It's for them...but when I really think about it, if y'all love her so much, why don't you be with her then??"

The remarks were enough for Azalea to forgive the soul singer tweeting directly to her in a lengthy message, "Hey Erykah, tell the kids I'm a big fan of mom, even if we don't agree where to file my music in their iTunes folder. I'm gonna announce a new tour soon. If they do great in class there is officially an open invitation extended to them and friends with good report cards to come and enjoy a show anytime. I am 100 percent a woman of my word, and I appreciate the apology."

Azalea has feuded with others in the music industry before including T.I. and Britney Spears.
