Dunkirk follows the evacuation of Dunkirk in Operation Dynamo, which took place in 1940 during WWII. The film also stars Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney and Tom Hardy, a frequent collaborator of Nolan's.

"We clicked really easy [on set]," Keoghan said of his co-stars in an interview with Collider published Monday.
