REDMOND, Wash., March 30 (UPI) -- Microsoft Studios and Remedy Entertainment have released a pair of live-action trailers for their upcoming third-person shooter video game, Quantum Break.

The title, which is set to feature four, 22-minute long television episodes inside the game to explain the plot, stars X-Men actor Shawn Ashmore as main protagonist Jack Joyce and Game of Thrones' Aidan Gillen as the villainous Paul Serene.

The first villains focused live-action trailer released Tuesday features Serene using his time-based powers that allow him to see into the future hunting down Joyce, who is able to stop time. Serene's right-hand man Martin Hatch portrayed by Fringe's Lance Reddick also makes an appearance.

"Paul Serene can see the future. Jack Joyce can manipulate time. But will either man's power be enough to save the future?" the clip's description reads.

The second trailer released Wednesday features Jack's brother William Joyce played by Lord of the Rings star Dominic Monaghan, conducting a time travel experiment that goes wrong.

"I built a time machine, and it works. I'm going to prove it--or die," he says speaking into the camera.
