NEW YORK, May 19 (UPI) -- At 77 years old, Jane Fonda graces the cover of W's June/July 2015 issue.

As the oldest cover star the magazine has ever featured, the actress said "I think it's a hoot that, at my age, people are calling me a fashion icon."

At this year's Grammy Awards, Fonda wore an emerald green Balmain jumpsuit on the red carpet that turned heads everywhere.

"I suppose I've always known what I like on my body," she said. "I took one look at that Balmain jumpsuit, and I said, 'That's it!' I'm best when I'm wearing something structured, with no frills or bows. Something that will show my waist and bum, because I've always had a good bum."

When Rihanna saw the look up close and personal at the award show, she told the model-turned-actress, "Ohmigod! I want to be you when I grow up!"

On Sunday, the star stunned in a royal blue cut-out Atelier Versace gown at the Cannes Film Festival

The actress touched base with the magazine on some beautifying procedures she has had done and isn't proud of. "I did have plastic surgery. I'm not proud of the fact that I've had it," she said. "But I grew up so defined by my looks. I was taught to think that if I wanted to be loved, I had to be thin and pretty. That leads to a lot of trouble."

Fonda plays one of two wives who find out their husbands are gay in a new Netflix series Grace and Frankie.
