Scotland Yard wants Moss to come home

LONDON, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- London authorities are calling on supermodel Kate Moss to return from the United States and answer questions about her alleged drug use.

Moss, 31, left Britain for an Arizona treatment center after the Daily Mirror published photos of her apparently snorting cocaine during a late-night recording session by her former boyfriend, Babyshambles guitarist Pete Doherty.

Moss has since dumped Doherty and is working in Los Angeles.

Assistant Police Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur told Thursday's Daily Mirror the department was on the verge of making arrests stemming from an investigation sparked by the photos.

But, he said, they want Moss to come back and face questioning -- "the sooner, the better."

If Moss returns to London, she could face arrest as well, the newspaper said.
