CBS starts casting 'Class'

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- CBS has signed British actress Lucy Punch for its new comedy, "Class."

The series from David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik has received a 13-episode order for next season, The Hollywood Reporter said Saturday.

The series starts with a party thrown by 27-year-old Ethan for his girlfriend, whom he met in third grade, the Reporter said. He invites six other former classmates they had lost touch with, which becomes the springboard for the season following them around as they continue with the relationships.

Punch is the first cast member to be signed.
