Fergie has low profile at Palm Beach polo

WELLINGTON, Fla., Feb. 7 (UPI) -- The former Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, was well-turned out at an exclusive Florida polo match but attracted little attention, the Palm Beach Post reports.

The 45-year-old known as Fergie wore black stockings and stiletto heels to the International Polo Club in Wellington, Fla., Sunday. But the newspaper noted: "On a field where Hollywood star Tommy Lee Jones is just one of the players, Sarah Ferguson was mostly just another spectator."

The former wife of Prince Andrew watched the match from the club's private section and participated in the champagne divot stomp, where the wealthy and well-dressed mingle, sipping champagne and stamping down bits of turf kicked up by the horses.

Ferguson's late father, Ronald, known in England as the Galloping Major, was Prince Charles' polo manager for three decades. Through him, she met Charles' brother, Andrew, whom she married in 1986 and divorced 10 years later.

She said she hopes to return to the Palm Beach area in April with her two daughters.
