NEW YORK, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- The folks at "Sesame Street" will celebrate the children's program's 35th season with a PBS primetime special this spring.
Called "The Street We Live On," the special is a nostalgic journey through "Sesame Street"'s most magical moments through the eyes of beloved Muppet Elmo. It is set to air April 4.
The special kicks of the show's 35th season, which promises parodies of pop-culture phenomena like "Dr. Feel" ("Dr. Phil") and "Joe Hundred Guy" ("Joe Millionaire") and a spoof of a Norah Jones song called "Don't Know Why 'Y' Didn't Come." Julianne Moore will appear in a segment called "Far from Seven," lampooning her Oscar-nominated film "Far From Heaven," and Harvey Fierstein will offer his rendition of "Everything's Coming Up Noses."
The new season also bosts appearances by a bevy of celebrities,
including: Seth Green, Venus Williams, Martina McBride, Ruben Studdard, Kelsey Grammer, Dennis Franz, Amy Brenneman, Doris Roberts, Wayne Brady, Jason Biggs, Harry Connick Jr. and Cher, who reveal their favorite "Sesame Street" moment from the last 35 years.
