LOS ANGELES, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- TV and Internet bad girl Paris Hilton picked up another dubious distinction Tuesday when Hollywood designer Mr. Blackwell named her 2003's worst dressed woman.
Hilton -- best known for her Internet home-porn video and her star turn as the spoiled rich girl enduring farm life with friend Nicole Richie on Fox TV's "The Simple Life" -- came out No. 1 on a list that also included actresses Lara Flynn Boyle and Melanie Griffith, and singers Courtney Love, Missy Elliot and Celine Dion. Blackwell said Hilton showed poor fashion sense in multiple media.
"From cyber disgrace to red carpet chills," he said, "she's the vapid Venus of Beverly Hills!"
Madonna and Britney Spears -- who shared a wet kiss on the last MTV Video Music Awards -- were tied for second. Country superstar Shania Twain, actress Dianne Keaton and singer Jessica Simpson rounded out the top five.
Blackwell said the list is not a reflection on the talent of the women named -- just their sense of style.
