"ThalesRaytheonSystems launched its Ground Master family of radars in 2008 and we are proud to have delivered the very first Ground Master 400 radar to our Slovenian customer," said Philippe Duhamel, chief executive officer of ThalesRaytheonSystems's French Operations.

"This first delivery is a historical milestone for ThalesRaytheonSystems and Thales and we are looking forward to delivering the already contracted radars to our customers in the coming years."

The Ground Master 400 benefits from the most advanced technology available on the market and is part of ThalesRaytheonSystems' fully digital 3-D air defense Ground Master radar family.

The radars are expected to be in service by the end of the year.
