CACI tapped for Irregular Warfare help

ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 20 (UPI) -- The U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, has chosen CACI International for engineering, technical, and programmatic support services.

The task order, valued at $33.6 million will be performed for the center's Irregular Warfare Technologies Division.

CACI said the order, under the U.S. Navy's Seaport-e Engineering, Technical and Programmatic Support Services contract, represents new business for CACI and is for a three-year base period plus two option years.

It falls under the Navy's Seaport-e Engineering, Technical and Programmatic Support Services contract.

"CACI is uniquely suited to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane's Irregular Warfare Technologies Division," said Bill Fairl, CACI's president of U.S. Operations.

"In addition to our long history of direct support to U.S. forces and the irregular warfare community, we also have a proven record of success in information operations, which is one of our core capabilities."

NSWC Crane, in Crane, Ind., is a shore command of the Navy. It uses the power of technology to support U.S. forces in three focus areas: special missions, strategic missions and electronic warfare/information operations.

The Irregular Warfare Technologies Division, which is part of the Joint Special Operations Response Department, serves a variety of federal and Department of Defense customers.

On this task order, CACI will support NSWC Crane by providing design, development, acquisition, integration, modeling and simulation and assessment of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems, ground-based electronic protection systems, signature management technologies, computer network systems and threat detection systems.
