Army gives NCI support contract

RESTON, Va., June 1 (UPI) -- NCI Inc. of Virginia will provide mission support to the U.S. Army's Network Enterprise Technology Command under a $58 million award, the company announced.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity NETCOM contract for its 9th Signal Command Army office of Plans and Engineering (G5) features a one-year base performance period and two one-year options.

Under the competitively awarded contract, NCI and its teammates will support NETCOM/9th SC (A)/G5 in policy definition, requirements development, capability management, project integration, operational and security engineering, engineering integration services, information assurance, configuration management, hardware/software installation and other support functions to assist NETCOM in operating and managing the Army's global enterprise network.

These services will be performed at NETCOM's headquarters in Fort Huachuca, Ariz., and other locations worldwide.

"NETCOM/9th SC (A)/G5 has a critical mission in the Army's critical infrastructure and transformation initiatives," said NCI President Terry Glasgow.
