NEW YORK, June 7 (UPI) -- Pizza, Chinese, now doughnuts? Dunkin' Donuts CEO Nigel Travis said the company is considering delivering the sweet treats and coffee straight to your door.

Travis told CNBC the doughnut chain plans to test food delivery.

"Delivery is clearly a big opportunity," he said during an appearance on On the Money. "We're now developing mobile ordering. We're doing a private test. We'll move to a more public test later this year.

"We'll probably launch mobile ordering sometime next year."

Dunkin' Donuts isn't the only fast-food brand considering branching out into delivery. Starbucks, McDonald's and Chipotle have all announced plans to enter the delivery game.

"The trend in this country is convenience. So I think delivery plays very strongly," Travis said. "I think the next few years you're going to see us get more and more into delivery."
