Forbes releases annual list of world's billionaires

NEW YORK, March 2 (UPI) -- Forbes released its annual billionaire list with Bill Gates once again topping the world's richest with $79.2 billion.

The Microsoft founder was followed by Carlos Slim Helu, Warren Buffett, Amancio Ortega, Larry Ellison, Charles and David Koch, Christy Walton and Jim Walton.

Mark Zuckerberg led the surge of young billionaires from Silicon Valley; there are now 46 billionaires under 40 on the list. The richest of these billionaires is Evan Spiegel, 24, co-founder of photo-messaging app Snapchat.

Michael Kors, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, and Zulily's Mark Vadons dropped off of the ranks altogether.
