Bobby Brown's mom telling all about son

ATLANTA, June 24 (UPI) -- Embattled singer Bobby Brown's mother told an Atlanta radio station she is writing a tell-all story about her famous son and his woes.

Carol Brown phoned into WHTA-FM, Atlanta, Wednesday, after band mates from her son's former group New Edition did an on-air interview, the Atlanta Constitution-Journal reported Thursday, saying she was writing her own version of the Bobby Brown story.

"Will it be a tell-all?" the radio host said.

"Everything," Brown said.

When asked how she felt about Brown's "Dateline" interview in which he openly discussed his drug abuse and problems with his superstar wife, Whitney Houston, the singer's mom said she was glad he was honest.

"I was pleased with the interview," she said, "and I was pleased at the fact that my son was able to get on national TV and admit that he had a problem. OK. That's being real."
