The 6-8, 225-pound McAllister played in 60 games for the Flyers this season and was second on the team with 124 penalty minutes. He also had two goals, two assists and a plus-1 rating.
McAllister, who turns 26 on June 16, was Vancouver's second-round pick in 1995, but he never panned out with the Canucks and was dealt to Toronto in 1999. The Flyers acquired him in September 2000.
In 180 regular-season NHL games, McAllister has four goals, 10 assists and 400 penalty minutes. He played in just two of Philadelphia's six games this postseason.
