NEW YORK, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- After Jay Leno's rather anticlimactic Tonight Show departure last week, it's almost Jimmy Fallon's turn behind the desk.
NBC has announced an impressive array of A-listers for Fallon's first week, which begins Monday, Feb. 17.
The affable comedian's opening show will kick off with Will Smith and musical guest U2. On Tuesday, he'll sit down with Jerry Seinfeld, Kristen Wiig and Lady Gaga. Bradley Cooper and Tim McGraw will appear on the show Wednesday. First lady Michelle Obama, Will Ferrell and Arcade Fire will stop by on Thursday, while Fallon's frequent collaborator Justin Timberlake wrap up the week as both guest and performer on Friday.
Timberlake, an old friend of the show, appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon 12 times in five years.
Fallon's move from Late Night to the Tonight Show should be a boon for the network. The former SNL star's last Late Night show drew in its biggest-ever audience last week with 6.6 million viewers.
Fallon's Late Night replacement, Seth Meyers, will start his new gig on Feb. 24. Meyers said on Monday that Fred Armisen, who once faced Questlove in a druff-off, will be Late Night's new band leader.
