Spanish director Jesus "Jess" Franco passed away Wednesday at 82 years of age in Malaga, Spain.
According to the HuffPo, the director died from complications stemming from a stroke.

Over the course of his seven-decades career, Franco -- who was a cinematographer, an actor and a writer-- directed almost 200 films. He specialized in horror and eroticism. Toward the end of his career he became famous for his hardcore pornography films.
Franco is best known for his films, "The Awful Dr. Orloff," "99 Women," "Oasis of the Zombies," "Vampyros Lesbos," and "Daughter of Dracula."
