SEOUL, June 15 (UPI) -- North Korea has resumed Air Koryo flights to Kuwait after a two-month suspension.

Flight Radar 24, a website that tracks flights around the world, showed that Air Koryo flight JS 161 was in transit in Islamabad, Pakistan, before heading for Kuwait, Voice of America reported.

The plane was expected to arrive in Kuwait at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the data.

Flights between Pyongyang and Kuwait resumed May 17 or 18 after being suspended for much of March and April.

Air Koryo's English-language website did not include information on the Kuwait flight. The route is known for mainly transporting North Korean state workers to the Middle East, VOA reported.

Kuwait was recently the site of a labor strike by North Koreans.

Forced laborers reportedly took collective action after Pyongyang did not pay their salaries. The workers were then summoned back to North Korea.

A South Korean unification ministry official has said it's possible the international embargoes are influencing the regime and the impact of the sanctions are having a trickle-down effect on overseas North Korean laborers.

Air Koryo has four active aircraft in its fleet, according to Flight Radar 24.

The airline was recently ranked the world's worst for the fifth year in a row.
