KABUL, Afghanistan, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Two suicide bombers struck the Afghanistan capital Wednesday, killing seven people and wounding 15 others.
The Taliban working to get out foreign forces and the U.S. backed government claimed responsibility for the attack.

On their Twitter page, the Taliban said: "Double martyrdom attack has rocked #Kabul city this morning amid current year's ongoing #Khaibar operation."
Wednesday's attack comes a day after the U.S. and Afghanistan signed a security agreement to keep 9,800 U.S. troops in Afghanistan past the end of this year.
Signing that agreement was a pledge of the new president of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani.
