Five men have been arrested, accused of the killings and rape, including three brothers and two police officers.

R.K.S. Rathore, a senior police officer, said the men face rape and murder charges.

Family members of the two girls say the men deserve the same fate as the victims.

"Hang them in public," the mother of one of the girls said.

Other villagers said they are scared for their own safety after the incident.

"If this could happen to them, it could happen to us also," said Renu Devi, a women in the village where the attack happened.
