Roadside bombs kills family of 9 in Afghanistan

A roadside bomb in Herat province detonated Tuesday, killing nine members of one family.

KABUL, Afghanistan, May 7 (UPI) -- A family of nine traveling by rickshaw in Afghanistan's Herat province were killed Tuesday when a roadside bomb detonated.

Provincial police spokesman Abdul Raouf Ahmadi said that the family members killed included five children and four adults.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
