North Korea fires missiles into East Sea

PYONGYANG, North Korea, March 16 (UPI) -- North Korea Sunday fired 10 short-range missiles toward the East Sea, South Korean authorities said.

The launches began at about 6:20 p.m., local time, and lasted for about 10 minutes, Yonhap News Agency reported.

The missiles traveled about 43 miles before landing in the East Sea, Seoul's military said.
