SHANGHAI, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- A zoo worker was killed when a tiger he was feeding attacked him at the Shanghai Zoo in China Tuesday morning.
The incident happened inside the zoo's tiger breeding field about 10:30 a.m., officials said. Chinese state-run news agency Xinhua said the employee was feeding a South China tiger when the animal attacked and killed the man.

An investigation is under way to determine what happened to prompt the animal's attack.
