Taliban claim abduction of four Afghan intelligence agents

KABUL, Afghanistan, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Taliban members say they will release four kidnapped Afghan intelligence operatives in exchange for the release of four captured insurgents.

The Afghan intelligence workers were abducted in the Moqur district of eastern Ghazni province, Khaama Press reported Saturday.

The Taliban broadcast footage of the kidnapped agents, who were allegedly abducted as they traveled to Kabul from southern Kandahar province.

The militants said the agents would be released in exchange for the release of four captured insurgents.

The abduction has not been confirmed by local government officials or the National Directorate of Security, the Afghan intelligence service, Khaama Press said.
