MOSCOW, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- A Russian woman who was a member of a notorious neo-Nazi group that targets gay teens and pedophiles was stabbed to death, police said.
Yelena Gorbushkova, 30, was found stabbed more than 20 times including in the head and neck in the Russian republic of Tartarstan, RIA Novosti said Monday. Gorbuskova, aka "Alonya SS," was a mall security guard by day but police said she was a member of Occupy-Pedofilyai, which was founded by notorious neo-Nazi skinhead Maxim Martsinkevich.
RIA Novosti said the group targets men by creating fake online profiles, lures them to meetings with young boys, then tortures and interrogates them. The group charges members a fee to participate in the "safaris."
The group has used similar tactics to bait gay teenagers.
Russian police have largely failed to prosecute the perpetrators because victims have declined to come forward.
Citing anonymous sources, RIA Novosti said Gorbushkova was probably killed by members of a rival neo-Nazi group that suspected she was secretly a police informant.
