TEHRAN, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- At least 26 students were killed and 19 others were injured when a driver lost control of a bus and the bus overturned in Iran, police said.
The bus was traveling in south-western Iran Friday night when the crash occurred, the BBC reported. It was transporting students to Rahiyan-e Noor, an area dedicated to soldiers who died fighting in the Iran-Iraq war, CNN reported.

Iran has one of the worst road safety records in the world, with 20,000 people dying in traffic crashes every year, Sky News reported.
