ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Heavy rain in Pakistan Sunday caused at least 20 fatalities, emergency officials said.
Fatal traffic accidents, roof collapses and at least one electrocution were reported around Punjab, Sindh and other provinces where rain fell for hours, Associated Press of Pakistan, the official government news agency, reported.
Rain was still falling late Sunday in some areas.
The storm also knocked out electricity in many areas and bogged down rail service. APP said passengers at some stations were left stranded on the platforms at the height of the storms.
