The Oman Tribune said Busaidy further discussed military co-operation with his Spanish counterpart Defense Minister Pedro Morenes Eulate.

Omani officials told the Oman Tribune Friday the sultan was eager to prop up existing military ties given a rise in sectarian and political tensions in the Arabian Peninsula, referring to Bahrain and Iran.
