Thailand's Deputy National Police Chief Pol Gen Adul Sangsingkaew said Monday there was substantial evidence against the two suspects.

Investigators say at least five people were involved in the bombings.

The Friday bombings were part of the insurgent violence that has began in southern Thailand in early 2004. About 4,800 people have died in attacks, said Deep South Watch, a research group that has tracked violence in Thailand's southern provinces.
