MAKHACHKALA, Russia, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- A militant was killed Sunday in a raid in the North Caucasian republic of Dagestan, Russian security forces said.
The man killed in Khasavyurt was a member of a gang that was led by Adam Guseynov until he was killed in a January raid, the National Anti-Terrorist Committee told RIA Novosti.

The militant was suspected of killing a woman and her daughter Saturday night. A 5-year-old girl was hospitalized with gunshot wounds after Sunday's operation.
"Up to two militants were blocked in a private house," an official told ITAR-Tass earlier.
