ANKARA, Turkey, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- The Turkish prime minister's office announced he will be receiving a human-rights award from Libya at the third EU-Africa Summit.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's office said Friday Libyan President Moammar Gadhafi invited him as the guest of honor at the summit, where he will receive an award from the Gadhafi Human Rights Award National Committee, Hurriyet Daily News reported Friday.

The statement said Erdogan is also planning to meet with Libyan leaders to strengthen the nations' growing bilateral relations.

The summit is to begin Sunday and the award ceremony is scheduled for Monday night.
