ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Pakistani police said Monday they foiled a bomb plot by seizing a car carrying 190 pounds of explosives.
The car was stopped Sunday night at a checkpoint near a police station in Islamabad, Samaa TV reported. Officers found seven cartons of explosive material and arrested the driver, a woman from Peshawar.

The suspect, Amitra Bibi, was taken to the women's police station for questioning, The Express Tribune reported.
Security in the capital has been heightened since a terrorist attack on a shrine in October.
