7 dead, 39 hurt in Malaysia bus crash

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- A tourist bus loaded with young people skidded out of control and overturned in Malaysia Friday night, leaving seven passengers dead, police said.

The bus was en route to Kuala Lumpur when the accident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. The Bernama news agency reported an initial police investigation attribute the crash to brake failure.

The victims were 13-28 years old. Six passengers die at the scene and the seventh, the group's leader, Mohd Zaidi Mohd Sufian, 28, died en route to a hospital, Bernama said.
