Flooding claims 13 more Indian lives

NEW DELHI, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Thirteen more people have been killed in flooding in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, officials said.

The deaths brought the Indian flooding death toll to 415, the Press Trust of India reported.

The latest flooding caused by breaches in major rivers has affected 124 more villages, the PTI said, and the Indian army was engaged in rescue operations.

The report said that despite no new rains the situation was grim in Bijnore, Bareilly, Moradabad, Mathura and Rampur.
