Pilots safe after Russian jet crash

MOSCOW, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- The pilots of a Russian fighter jet ejected safely before it crashed about 130 miles from a military base in Siberia, a military official said Friday.

The crash of the Su-25 Frogfoot fighter caused damage to some residences in the village of Aga-Khangil but there were no reports of injuries RIA Novosti reported.

The Russian Air Force has suspended all Su-25 flights pending an investigation of the crash, said Lt. Col Vladmir Drik, a spokesman for the Air Force.
