Authorities are still searching for missing Chief Petty Officer Kevin Williams, 39, following his disappearance on May 28 after getting into a fight with his wife Vanessa Williams.

According to Vanessa Williams, the couple was having an argument in a mall parking in lot Jacksonville, Fla. when she told her husband to stay put as she walked in the opposite direction.

"I was so mad with him, so I said 'Wait here. I'm not…I don't want to walk with you and argue anymore," she said.

When she returned to find her husband he was gone, but his cell phone had been left behind.

"He's a great dad, a great husband, [he's] very responsible," she said of her husband.

Twelve days after his disappearance, authorities are still trying to figure out what really happened to Kevin Williams.

Police said the officer's wife used his credit card on the night he reportedly went missing. And though a report claims he was last seen at an apartment complex on May 29, he has not been seen since.

"At this time, he is AWOL from the United States Navy, which is unusual since his rank is a chief," Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Lt. Robert Schoonover told ABC News.
