The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Metro Police are investigating the Tuesday attack on Maria Garrullo at her south Nashville home. They say a woman posing as an immigration agent stabbed Garrullo eight times. Garrullo described her attacker as heavyset, about 5-feet-4 with blond hair.

The baby, Yair Anthony Carillo, turned a week old Thursday. Metro police spokesman Don Aaron said there are numerous leads in the case, but investigators still don't know the motive for the abduction. Police did not say if anything else was taken from the home.

"The focus remains the same and that's his safe return," Kristin Helm, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman, said.

Police are seeking the driver of a dark-colored Kia Spectra that may have followed Garrullo on Tuesday. They said the driver is a possible witness.
