LA GRANGE, Ky., Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Kentucky state troopers say they found 1,580 pounds of marijuana hidden in a semi tractor-trailer on a highway near Louisville.
Officials said the vehicle was stopped and searched about 2 p.m. Monday on Interstate 71 in Oldham County, Ky., and its driver, Sohrab Shamoil, 47, of Mesa, Ariz., was arrested and charged with careless driving and transporting more than five pounds of marijuana, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

Troopers told the newspaper they were aided by drug-sniffing dogs in the bust.
