Before leaving, the president and his daughters dropped by several shops near the Blue Heron Farm in Chilmark, Mass.

Customers at Alley's General Store caught sight of Obama, sporting a black jacket, jeans and a Chicago White Sox baseball cap, browsing through the store, suggesting treats for the girls, the Cape Cod (Mass.) Times reported Monday.

Before boarding Marine 1 to return to the White House Sunday, Obama and his wife Michelle visited with the family of Marine Cpl. Nicolas Xiarhos of Yarmouth, Mass., who died in Afghanistan last month.

Obama also visited with several state and national representatives.

The Obama family is expected to spend some time at Camp David, Md., this week.
