Building fire kills five in France

SEVRAN, France, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Five people, including three children, died in an apartment building fire Monday in a northeast suburb of Paris, authorities said.

Police said about 30 people were evacuated after fire broke out on the seventh floor of a nine-story building in Sevran, on the outskirts of the French capital, CNN reported. Radio France Internationale said three of the dead were children.

"The exact causes of the fire cannot be determined," police spokeswoman Samira Amrouche. said. "The police have been asked to investigate."
