Gilani: Gov't willing to talk to militants

KARACHI, Pakistan, April 18 (UPI) -- Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said Saturday the government would be willing to talk to rebels who lay down arms.

Dawn, Pakistan's English-language newspaper, reported the prime minister also told reporters in Karachi that the terrorist attacks last year in Mumbai have strained Pakistan's relations with India.

Islamabad, he added, wants good relations with all of its neighbors, including India.
