Two killed when truck hits cow in Kansas

HUTCHINSON, Kan., Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Two men were killed Friday when their pickup truck hit a cow on a Kansas road, sheriff's deputies reported.

Reno County deputies told the Wichita (Kan.) Eagle that the crash occurred on a rural road near Hutchinson when the victims' vehicle struck the animal and then slammed into two trees.

Neither driver James Kennedy nor his uncle, Kurt Beougher, was wearing seat belts, according to deputies.
