TEHRAN, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad asserts the era of world powers is ending.
Ahmadinejad made his comments Friday, speaking to reporters after returning from New York where he attended the 63rd annual session of the United Nations General Assembly, PRESS TV reported Saturday.
"The world is on the eve of big developments. The era of powers that had weapons and used force is nearing its end," Ahmadinejad said. "Nearly all nations and most of the governments oppose the bullying of these powers on the international arena."
The leader of the Islamic republic also said propaganda is used to "justify the acts of the U.S. and Israel."
The Iranian network reported that while in New York, Ahmadinejad met with students, anti-war groups and journalists, in addition to meeting other heads of state.
