Spanish hiker finds explosives

MADRID, March 21 (UPI) -- A hiker in Spain came across a bag of explosives believed to belong to the Basque separatist group ETA, El Pais reported Friday.

The explosives were found in the central province of Ciudad Real, Spanish authorities said.

ETA, which calls for a separate homeland along the Spanish-French border, has been fighting Spanish authorities for more than three decades and is blamed for more than 800 deaths during that time.
