WASHINGTON, March 7 (UPI) -- Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton's campaign has surged since winning the Ohio and Texas primaries this week, campaign officials said.

Since her wins Tuesday, Clinton has raised $3 million raised through the Internet, the Chicago Tribune reported. Clinton's advisers say rival Barack Obama has tried to blunt the New York senator's momentum since her wins this week.

"What we have heard ever since then from the Obama campaign is a series of personal attacks on Hillary Clinton, and frankly some of them echo Republican charges that have been raised and combated and have failed over the years,'' said Clinton campaign adviser Ann Lewis.

Clinton Wednesday made a series of TV appearances in which she suggested the possibility of a joint Democratic ticket with Obama, the junior senator from Illinois.

"Certainly we're not in a position to rule anything in or out," said campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson, adding, "there's a lot more yet left to play out in this campaign."
