Children arrested over school knife plot

LEBANON, Conn., March 3 (UPI) -- Three elementary school children in Connecticut face prosecution for allegedly plotting to knife their bus driver, a report said.

The Hartford (Conn.) Courant reported Monday that two 7-year-olds and an 8-year-old were arrested for the plot Friday and released to their parents.

The children were charged with reckless endangerment, possession of a dangerous weapon and threatening and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, police said.

The three children have been suspended from Lebanon Elementary School.
